A Self-Summary
Hello and thank you for visiting my profile! My name is Connor Burns and I am currently a software developer.
Before software development, I was working in the hospitality industry in a 5-star hotel. Working in a 5-star environment ignited a passion for quality work and paying an utmost attention to detail. While I loved being in that environment, I was drawn to software development and enrolled in an immersive course called App Academy. There, I learned multiple software languages and brought my attention to detail from my previous experiences to create my best possible work. I am proud of the projects I have made thus far in my software development journey, and I am excited to learn and grow in my skills every day.
I am proficient in languages such as Javascript, React, Python, Redux, Express, Node.js, SQL, SQLAlchemy, PostgreSQL, Flask HTML5, CSS3 and I am currently self-learning Elixir. I am also proficient in Git, Heroku, AWS, and Object Orientated Programming (OOP), Agile methodology. I am also a person who believes using every moment to the best of your ability will take you far. We are here for such a short blip of time overall, I believe we should live it the best we can. That's why I am a constant student of life. I am always learning how to live better, happier and more efficient! I'm always open to new things, and I love to travel, eat, and take in all that life has to offer!
