Frequently asked questions

How do I get more Golden Boxes?

A few ways: open Rare Boxes (each has a 20% chance to also drop a Golden Box), claim the free Golden Box offered after watching some ads, hit a 7‑day login streak, or buy the Golden Box 15‑Pack in the Shop.

Is the game free?

Yes! Bao Pop is free to play. It's supported by ads, and there's one optional in‑app purchase (the Golden Box 15‑Pack). Some ads are optional and reward you with free items.

Are my collection and progress saved?

Your collection, currency, and settings are saved on your device. Deleting the app or clearing its data will reset local progress, so we recommend not deleting the app if you want to keep your buns.

I bought the Golden Box pack but didn't get my boxes.

Purchases are handled by Apple and usually deliver within a few seconds. If your boxes didn't appear, fully close and reopen the app first. Still missing? Email us your purchase receipt (from your Apple purchase email) and we'll sort it out. The Golden Box pack is a consumable, so it isn't restorable through "Restore Purchases" — just contact us if anything went wrong.

How do I turn off the music or sound effects?

Open Settings in the app and toggle Music, Sound Effects, or Haptics. You can also enable a daily reminder notification there.

How do ads work / how do I get personalized vs. non‑personalized ads?

On first launch we ask for tracking permission (Apple's ATT prompt). If you decline — or if you tell us you're under 13 — you'll only see non‑personalized ads. You can change tracking anytime in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

What are the drop rates?

Every box's exact odds are listed in the app on the Drop Rates screen (open the Shop and tap "View drop rates").

How do I request a refund?

Refunds for in‑app purchases are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. If you think something went wrong on our end, email us first and we'll help.
